THE JOSH EVANS SOCCER SCHOOL

Josh Evans has been coaching football for over ten years. Securing his FA Level 1 coaching badge at 15 he became Chelsea’s youngest professional coach. Since then he has worked for both Crystal Palace and AFC Wimbledon, and lucky enough to work in Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Holland and USA. He set up Josh Evans Soccer School in 2010 with a mission to help youngsters develop their football skills and their self-confidence.

The school works hard to provide coaching excellence to children with a broad range of abilities, with every child sharing a common goal of improving their football.

Josh Evans Soccer School has grown steadily via word of mouth and now coach over 2500 children a week. We teach in over 10 schools, run two development centres and have our own academy split across 2 different days. We also run hugely popular half term courses / holiday camps and provide one-to-one coaching.

We are enthusiastic, supportive and love seeing children develop, which is why we always tell them, “Be on it. Believe in it. Be you.”

Player Path

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our approach is to create a positive and fun environment that caters for all ages and abilities.

All children will learn and develop at different rates and ages. We provide children with friendly and supportive technical coaching to improve their close control, their 1v1 strategies and their passing and receiving skills.

We help them develop the confidence to learn and think for themselves in a pressure free environment. We want them to be able to express themselves when they play!

OUR PLAYER PATH

We welcome all abilities at Josh Evans Soccer School and strive to bring out the best in every child. We use our ‘Player Path’ (to the left) to help each child develop their skill set.

MEET THE TEAM

We aim to help young players make the most of their talents, to develop their confidence and to give them the technical skills they need to enjoy the game. We believe this can be done in a fun but structured way. All coaches are: uniformed, first aid trained, DBS/ CRB checked and FA safe guarded. All are fully insured under ‘Josh Evans Ltd’.

WHAT THEY SAY

Downsend pupils and the school itself have flourished. I would consider the school to now be one of the best football schools in Surrey and Josh has played an enormous part in this.

Jon Albert
Deputy Head, Downsend School

Josh has shown great entrepreneurial skills by developing his Coaching Company to an outstanding business in the Surrey community. Our Academy continues to work closely with J.E.S.S. and benefits from having a two-way stream of players developing across both organisations

Jeremy Sauer
AFC Wimbledon – Academy Manager

Josh is a brilliant coach.  He’s always trying to get the full potential out of all his players whether they’re young or old.  Josh is the go-to guy.

Henry Russ, Aged 11

My son Henry was fortunate enough to experience Josh’s coaching skills for two years during his time at Wimbledon’s development centre.  He nurtured Henry and gave him the confidence to try different techniques and styles of football

Henry’s Mum

I just wanted to say a big thank you from us and Charlie for the fantastic football camp you ran this week. All the coaches are so welcoming, inclusive and encouraging – and the same can be said for the academy sessions that Charlie started a few months ago too. Thank you for all your hard work and making sure Charlie keeps enjoying his football
