Josh Evans has been coaching soccer for over ten years. Securing his FA Level 1 coaching badge at 15 he became Chelsea’s youngest professional coach and since then has worked for both Crystal Palace and AFC Wimbledon, and internationally. He set up Josh Evans Soccer School in 2010 with a mission to help youngsters develop their soccer skills and their self confidence.

The school works hard to provide coaching excellence to children with a broad range of soccer skills, with every child sharing a common goal of improving his or her soccer performance.

We have grown steadily via word of mouth and now coach over 2500 children a week. We teach in schools, run our own in-season training courses, run three development centres and have our own Academy. We also run hugely popular holiday soccer skills courses and provide one-to-one coaching and soccer-themed birthday parties.

We are enthusiastic, supportive and love seeing children develop their skills, which is why we always tell them, “Be on it. Believe in it. Be you.”

Our approach is to create a positive and fun environment that caters for all ages and abilities.

All children will learn and develop at different rates and ages. We provide children with friendly and supportive technical coaching to improve their close control, their 1v1 strategies and their passing and receiving skills.

We help them develop the confidence to learn and think for themselves in a pressure free environment. We want them to be able to express themselves when they play!

We welcome all abilities at Josh Evans Soccer School and strive to bring out the best in every child. We use our ‘Player Path’ below to help each child develop their skill set.

We aim to help young players make the most of their talents, to develop their confidence and to give them the technical skills they need to enjoy the game. We believe this can be done in a fun but structured way. All coaches are: uniformed, first aid trained, DBS/ CRB checked and FA safe guarded. All are fully insured under ‘Josh Evans Ltd’.

Downsend pupils and the school itself have flourished. I would consider the school to now be one of the best football schools in Surrey and Josh has played an enormous part in this.
