Sessions:
Our approach is to create a positive and fun environment that caters for all ages and abilities. We aim to help young players make the most of their talents, to develop their confidence and to give them the technical skills they need to enjoy the game. We believe this can be done in a fun but structured way.

Pre Academy class for u6, u7 and u8 players
Our pre academy class is for u6, u7 and u8 players to attend. We believe these years are vital for our players and their development.
We will stream groups so all players will be playing at the right level. These groups will be called academy, advanced and development.
Once the players reach U9 they will then be placed into the appropriate playing level for them at either our Technical Development Centre or our Elite Academy.

Elite
Academy
The Academy is focused solely on individual player development. We want to bring professional coaching to children who show a desire to improve, work hard and those who show above average ability. Sessions are tailored around the Josh Evans Philosophy, to develop technically excellent footballers, that can make great decisions and react quickly and effectively to transition.
THE ACADEMY
Our Elite Academy in Ashtead is uniquely set up to provide skills, technique and improve the personal development of over 100 young footballers. Every coach at the Academy is FA qualified and has been trained to coach the Josh Evans way. A number of boys have been signed up with professional football league academies. Our Academy has also enabled further young footballers to attend trials with professional clubs. The Academy offers its players the opportunity to play against top-quality opponents. Recently, we have competed against Bristol City, AFC Wimbledon, Reading and Crystal Palace and have participated in local and regional tournaments. We encourage our players to improve their abilities and gain confidence.
Support is continuously delivered by our team of coaches, all of whom are passionate about the sport and keen to transfer their knowledge, skills and love of the game to every child that walks on our pitches. To register & for further information about the academy email us at [email protected]
Sessions are led by a team of coaches who have vast experience in player development:

Richard Webber
UEFA C, FA coaching Level 1, Youth Module 1 & 2
Joe Elbishawi

The focus of the academy is to bring professional coaching to those who show a great ability and standard to bridge the gap between grassroots and professional football. This will be done through professional sessions put on by coaches with vast experience in player development and understand the standard required to take that next step.
We request players arrive 15 minutes before each session, to get warmed up and straight into the arrival activity.

Technical Training – U13 & U14
At Josh Evans Soccer School we pride ourselves on our technical coaching. We feel are the best to really help players close control, ball mastery, 1v1 skills, 1st touch and ball striking.
U13 & U14 Technical Training is very similar to the Academy sessions. The only difference is the level of entry required. While the Academy has more specific criteria, the Technical Training sessions will have a more open entry point, making it easier for more players to get involved.
That said, we’ll still be making sure players are grouped appropriately within the sessions, so everyone is challenged at the right level and can get the most out of their training. Our aim is to give more players access to high quality coaching and help them continue improving their technical skills in a positive and supportive environment.
Sessions are tailored around the Josh Evans Philosophy, to develop technically excellent footballers, that can make great decisions and react quickly and effectively to transition.

Daniel absolutely loves the technical development centre on Thursday, so much so that he turned down an academy place elsewhere in September because I said he couldn’t do that, team training, matches and your class in one week with everything else that needs to be done so he chose to do your class! He is motivated, increasing in confidence and learning super skills. You and the other coaches are fantastic role models for all the children. Over half his team attend your academy or technical development sessions and the team have come on in leaps and bounds this season. They are really gelling as a unit and have won four and lost two matches so far.
Keep up the great work!”

Ben Catling is really enjoying the training sessions on Tuesdays at Dorking – what a great facility. We can see that his ball skills are improving and he loves all the training. He plays for Bookham Colts and it’s nice to see him use his skills on the pitch and in matches as well! Josh is always so friendly and professional and is definitely an inspiration to him.
Emma C., Great Bookham
Theo is absolutely loving his Thursday sessions. He’s always really enthusiastic about going and didn’t even complain about playing in the pouring rain last week! I like the organisation of the sessions: the mix between training and the mini-matches seems to work really well and I’m hugely impressed with the ability of Josh and the other leaders to learn and correctly use all the children’s names so quickly. Theo was really pleased that everybody knew who he was the second time he attended! I think you offer amazing value for money with these sessions.
